About Me

I am a freelance IT professional, and besides visualization I focus on Golang development and infrastructure automation (DevOps?).

In past I worked in Google in Dublin, in CERN in Geneva, I did contract work for Basho, the makers of Riak, and Rovio, the company behind the Angry Birds. I wrote Ansible modules for the Packet host (acquired by Equinix in 2020 and rebranded as Equinix Metal). I am maintaining Equinix Metal Terraform Provider and a couple of other intrastructure-related Golang-based tools. I am Ansible and Terraform contributor.

I have CS bachelor’s degree from Brno University of Technology (2006) and CS master’s degree from University of Eastern Finland (2011).

I speak Czech (native), English (OK), Finnish (~B2 level), and French (~pas tres mal).

Back in the day I did some low-profile talks in Helsinki and online:

In 2019 I won an “Averaging GPS segments” challenge by the Machine learning deparment of the University of Eastern Finland. This is the Jupyter Notebook with my solution.
